We didn't want to simply follow the crowd and launch another copycat “natural” moisturizer. Instead, we wanted to be true to ourselves, our beliefs, and our philosophy. We therefore resolved to make every one of our products from scratch. Our vision of the ideal skincare product was that it had to be absolutely natural—so natural that, if you accidentally swallowed it, it will not only be harmless but possibly beneficial for you as well.

We committed ourselves to responsible beauty, not the kind that calls for “beauty at any cost” with only short term “gains” in mind. Harsh chemicals and synthetics, from our standpoint, not only fail to fulfill long‐term cosmetic needs, but also possess potentially harmful side effects that pose undue risk to both their users and the surrounding environment. No matter one's features or body type—light skin, dark skin, tall, petite, slender, curvy—true beauty always starts with a healthy body and a clean environment: no‐body can be healthy when it is constantly covered with toxic materials.
